James and Micah have worked diligently with GCHFH for the past two and a half years to financially prepare for homeownership, with the goal of providing a safe, healthy home for their two children and a place to plant roots and grow.

When Stacy saw her kids connecting and making friends at their neighborhood school, she knew it was time to put down some permanent roots for her family. She’d been renting in North Tulsa for years, but their current place never offered the stability she wanted for her family. 

She knows she's setting an example for her daughter: "She deserves that and more. I wanted to show her that she can do the same in the future." 

Skylar, a 34-year-old childcare center director, partnered with us, the North Tulsa Forward Program, and Cherokee Nation to make her dream of Homeownership a reality. 

Kisha began researching the housing market, only to discover that inflation and escalating mortgage rates had put an "affordable" home entirely out of reach. She contacted the Cherokee Tribe, of which she is a member, who referred her to Green Country Habitat as a good avenue for down payment assistance and a high-quality home at a rate she could afford.
