Green Country Habitat for Humanity and Tulsa Public Schools are excited to partner for an innovative program, “Education Begins with HOME.”
Qualifying teachers will receive forgivable down payment assistance* to purchase a home through Habitat’s homebuyer program. The program ensures long-term stability for educators while supporting the district’s efforts to attract and retain teaching talent.
Teachers’ access to safe, affordable homes creates a ripple effect of positive change—improving education outcomes, fostering community growth, and empowering families for generations.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Green Country Habitat for Humanity’s homebuyer program, applicants must:
Be willing to partner with Green Country Habitat for Humanity.
Complete Financial Literacy Training Classes.
Contribute 30 Habitat Service Hours through volunteer work.
Have a credit score of 600 or higher.
Be a legal U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

1st STEP:
Sign up and attend a 30-minute Habitat Orientation Meeting
Kids are welcome to attend.
OR
After the meeting, you may complete an application for the Habitat program.
Expect to submit the required documents for a credit inquiry.
