Eligibility Requirements

  • Legal U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident.

  • Willing to partner with Green Country Habitat for Humanity and complete Educational Equity Hours.

  • A credit score of 600 or higher.

  • Have not owned a home in the last 3 years.

Start the Application

  1. Schedule an Intro to Habitat Orientation Meeting (Kids are welcome to attend.)

  2. Attend a Habitat Orientation Meeting.

  3. After the orientation meeting, you can complete the application.

  4. Once accepted into the program, you will be asked to submit the required documents for a credit inquiry.

    • Current Paystubs (30 days)

    • Prior 2 Years Taxes & W2's

    • 2 Months of Bank Statements

  5. Approved applicants will be asked to complete the required education courses to advance the homebuyer’s process.

Additional Down Payment Assistance Support

Thanks to a HOME grant from the City of Tulsa, Green Country Habitat for Humanity offers up to $10,000 in down payment assistance for households not in the Habitat program. To qualify, households must:

  • Have an income of 80% AMI or less

  • Complete financial counseling and homeowner education with Habitat

Eligible households can choose any home within Tulsa that meets inspection standards and is priced at 95% or less of the city's median home price. Habitat counselors will ensure mortgage payments are affordable and meet program guidelines, with total payments (including debt) not exceeding 43% of monthly gross income.
