From Determination to Doorstep

Welcome home, Jasmine! We are thrilled to celebrate Jasmine’s incredible journey to homeownership through our Green Country Habitat for Humanity program.

Jasmine, a dedicated Tulsa Public Schools employee for the past 7 years, has always had a passion for working with children and spending quality time with her own. Becoming a homeowner was one of her dreams, and even though she didn’t qualify through the traditional route, our program gave her the opportunity and guidance she needed to achieve her goal.

Jasmine faced challenges along the way, particularly when it came to tuning out discouragement from others. But she trusted herself and leaned on the support from our home counselors. She’s beyond grateful for her decision to push through and is looking forward to building a stable, peaceful life in her new home, getting to know her neighbors, and embracing this new chapter.

Her advice to anyone considering our program: “DO it. Don’t listen to anyone else. You might not get everything you want, but you can’t beat this program and getting a brand new house to get started.”

To Jasmine, home means peace, love, and safety.
