Originally from Burma, Pau and his wife, Vung, moved to the United States 15 years ago and have spent the last seven years in Tulsa. With three young children, they were ready for more space and a home they could truly call their own. Previously living in a small apartment with maintenance issues, they were encouraged by a friend who purchased a Habitat home to apply for an affordable solution.

As a Dual Programs Coordinator and Fulbright Program Advisor at the University of Tulsa, Mav is helping connect students to opportunities that will help them succeed in life. Having also worked as public school teacher, Mav has built a career opening doors for the next generation. Now, through Habitat for Humanity, Mav is opening a new door for themself, one that lets them step into their very own home.
