Kaleb’s Journey to Homeownership with Habitat for Humanity in Tulsa

Like many of our buyers, Kaleb’s journey toward homeownership began with his desire to stop renting and start owning. He says his previous rental apartment was in disarray and had several maintenance issues, but when he started thinking seriously about buying a home, he wasn’t sure where to start. 

“I thought about it initially, and I brought it up to somebody, and they said, ‘Why don't you try the Habitat program?’ And so, I did,” said Kaleb. 

After being accepted into the program, Kaleb was ready to do whatever it took to get into a Habitat home but found the process to be a much better experience than he imagined.

“Applying to the program and then being accepted into the program was really just a great thing for me. I don't think that I would have been able to purchase a home otherwise.”
