Musician, Educator, and Habitat Homeowner
Greg is a Tulsa native, Cherokee citizen, and passionate music educator. After earning music degrees from the University of Tulsa and the University of Memphis, Greg returned home to teach at Monte Cassino, where he inspires students to discover their own musical voices.
In 2021, Greg founded the King Cabbage Brass Band—a high-energy ensemble blending traditional brass band sounds with modern pop, R&B, and funk influences. The band has quickly become a Tulsa favorite, performing at venues like Cain’s Ballroom and currently opening for Zac Bryan on tour.
Greg purchased his first home through Green Country Habitat’s program...a townhome in the Kendall Whittier neighborhood. “It was a goal of mine to own a place before 30. I made it happen thanks to Habitat for Humanity,” he shares. About the homebuying process itself, Greg adds, "It was a pretty unprecedented level of assistance... once I started seeing it come together, it was an easy choice."
He picked The Whittier Townhomes to fit his busy lifestyle, "I’m enjoying it a lot. I do a lot of different jobs, so having the yard taken care of and minimal upkeep has been really nice."
The low-maintenance living and vibrant arts scene perfectly suit Greg's busy lifestyle as a teacher and bandleader. We're thrilled to be a part of his story and can't wait to see what's next for this talented Tulsan!
