Addressing a Core Housing Need

Boomtown Development Company is a 501(c)(3) supporting affiliate of Green Country Habitat for Humanity and a Community Housing Development Organization with the City of Tulsa. Boomtown was created to develop workforce/missing middle single-family housing, as well as rental housing for Tulsa Habitat’s PATHWAYS program.

Workforce or missing middle housing refers to housing for families with a household income of between 80% and 120% of the Area Median Income. Green Country Habitat created PATHWAYS to offer families that are not quite ready for homeownership the option of living in safe, affordable rental housing.

There are approximately 63,000 households earning at or below 60% of AMI in Tulsa, but only about 14,000 dedicated affordable housing units. This project will address that income range and add 7 new affordable units to our city. Easily replicable, this affordable rental model will help meet a core need in the ongoing affordable housing crisis in our city.

Designed by Method Group, the Harvard Apartments development is made possible by funding from the City of Tulsa and PartnerTulsa, with a construction loan from CrossFirst Bank.
